Wow, SMAP you are so awesome they are/were my favorite band in the 90's. I even flew to Japan to follow them on tour. They have always held MJ in high regard and never once believed in all the gossip/talk that surrounded MJ. In the video, Takuya does the moonwalk, Goro does the BAD knife fight, Nakai does the Smooth Criminal lean, Shingo tackles Thriller and Tsuyoshi.. erm, I totally forgot what Tsuyoshi did. There is a huge "Heal the World" bit at the end. LOLZ.

Other MJ/SMAP stuff.
This is a clip of when MJ came to Japan and surprised the boy band SMAP. SMAP is probably the most famous boy band in Japan. They do a bunch of different shows as well as acting in tv shows and movies. SMAP always has celebrities come on their different shows as guests, and they were talking about who they would like to see as their dream guest, and they said MJ. The producers and stuff worked it out that MJ comes in for a surprise visit while they were rehearsing. Pretty crazy.

Pt One has the SMAPxSMAP producers made an offer to MJ to come on to their variety show without SMAP knowing, they told him they wanted it to be a surprise and MJ said he was willing to do this. SMAP had a rehearsal that night and when MJ didn't show up they producers tried to stall on bad LED screens and waited for him to come.
Pt Two is the one to watch, just one minute in you can see SMAP freak out, these super stars are reduced to being fans with Nakai just asking "Micheal Jackson? MICHEAL JACKSON!?!" at least a dozen times. Goro (the WORST dance in all of jpop) is insisted he do his MJ moves and the whole band just cringes out of fear that MJ will be insulted but MJ laughs and is totally in love with Goro.
Pt Three is where they want a pic with MJ and follow him back inside the studio and get pics and autographs. I love the subtitles on this. Very well done and just shows the magic MJ has one people, everyone is a fan, no matter how famous they are!
