LADY GAGA gave elderly locals quite a shock by turning up for a drinks session in a Birmingham boozer.
That girl would stand out anywhere - let alone a Midlands pub. But oddball GaGa quickly won the regulars over by picking up the tab for the whole bar - and leaving a massive tip.
She rocked up to The Prince Of Wales, near the city centre, on Wednesday evening and settled in for two hours.
As my picture shows, the New Yorker - in black leather jacket and shades - downed whisky and Diet Cokes while penning new lyrics.
While there, she Tweeted: In a pub in England ruining bar napkins with lyrics and memories. Dreams are never weak like we are, drunk or sober.
GaGa is a big fan of British pubs. She said recently: "I love a dingy bar - I'm really old-school that way."
Earlier this year she was pictured in a Blackpool pub.
The Prince Of Wales is a traditional pub near the National Indoor Arena, where she played last night. She wore more familiar skimpy gear as she kicked off the UK leg of her world tour in Nottingham on Thursday.
A traditional, English real ale pub is not where you'd expect to find one of the biggest female stars around.
But GaGa sat at the bar and chatted with regulars. One told me: "Everyone was stunned when this striking blonde came in. Most of the blokes had no idea who she was at first.
"She sat at the bar with a pal for two hours, downing spirits and scribbling notes.
"She told the locals how much she was enjoying having a drink on a day off because she can't handle drinking before a show.
"She signed autographs for staff and left a huge tip - a few hundred pounds."
The Poker Face star later headed out for more drinks on Broad Street.
I'm impressed.
Most big stars hide away and never see the cities they visit.
A pub crawl with Lady GaGa would be very entertaining.
