The creator of F.E.A.R 3 has claimed that the title will be the scariest game to ever be released onto the market.
Speaking in an exclusive new interview, Day 1's Parker Hamilton said that the title will hold its own in the frightening stakes - even against the industry's biggest horror titles.
When we asked if F.E.A.R 3 could out-spook the likes of Dead Space and Silent Hill to become the 'scariest game of all time', he replied:
"Yes. We indeed do believe F.E.A.R. 3 will continue carrying on the franchise's tradition of scaring the pants off players in unsettling atmospheres and through unpredictable events.
"Whether playing co-operatively with a friend or alone in the dark by themselves, the generative system will keep the players on the edge of their seats."
F.E.A.R 3's credentials are certainly impressive. Halloween director and all-round horror movie legend John Carpenter has signed up for story duties - alongside 30 Days of Night man Steve Niles.
